ENTER THE WORLD OF ELITE
At FSD Academy, we’re proud to offer international students the opportunity to develop their game and maximise their potential in the country that is home of the Premier League, the most watched domestic football competition in the world.
FSD Academy was founded by Matthew Piper, a former Premier League footballer with Leicester City, and Owen Johnson, a former Leicester City youth player.
Pro Sport Experience (PSE) is the elite international development programme designed by FSD Academy.
As an international academy student you will be fully immersed into English football culture, including footballing and historical landmark tours of England. You will be enrolled with our excellent higher-education partner Gateway College to study and work towards a diploma in business or sport.

Elite football coaching
Our international football academy students receive elite-level football coaching from some of the best in the business.
You’ll get the chance to develop your skills in team training sessions, instructed by our incredible team of UEFA-qualified coaches. You’ll also receive 1-on-1 training sessions as part of a bespoke training programme, including expert match performance analysis and a personalised strength and conditioning programme.
PSE international academy trainees are regularly put to the test within non-league/pro academy football training sessions and matches.When selected you will also get the chance to take part in professional trials and showcase games against pro-academies. These showcase games are played in a number of professional settings including: St. George’s Park, the base for the England football teams, and the King Power Stadium, the home of 2016 Premier League champions Leicester City.
PSE International Academy facilities are some of the best around, with state-of-the-art football pitches, high-class gym facilities (annual memberships are included with international packages) and a dedicated Futsal programme. We also provide accommodation and two meals per day for each of our international students, while all match day travel to and from training and educational facilities is included, and a full training kit is provided. International Cricket Academy
We are really excited to announce that our international cricket academy will launch in the summer of 2023. FSD enjoys a close working relationship with Leicestershire County Cricket Club and many former professional players that have all helped shape our brand new PSE Cricket programme. Accommodation (Residential Players)
Trainees will be provided with accommodation during their time with the programme and full support will be available seven days a week to ensure trainee satisfaction. Breakfast and dinner will be provided to the players Monday to Friday at allocated times, and the accommodation type includes shared housing.
Accommodation will mainly be provided in the catchment area to the players education provider and football opportunities across the country will be organised by PSE, including transportation and accommodation requirements.
All players will have opportunities for UK trials upon selection, and the cost for extra trial expenses will be additional. PSE will also implement support/advocacy for homeward travel, and this will be available during longer holidays upon the trainee’s request. However, transportation to and from trips for homeward travel are not included.
Support will include advocating and signposting trainees to a variety of social activities and events within the local community to enable trainees feel secure and sociable during their placement.
Education beyond the pitch
At PSE International Academy we don’t just help our international students reach their full potential as football players—we also pride ourselves on empowering them to become the best possible version of themselves.
We excel at developing leadership skills on and off the pitch, while we provide a high quality educational syllabus thanks to our international education partners Gateway College. Our Level 2 and Level 3 Business and IT qualifications are internationally recognised, with many of our students successfully moving into those sectors following their time at PSE.
In addition, we offer coaching qualification pathways, with the chance to work and coach with our partner organisation FSD Academy following the completion of the education syllabus.
